Study Journalism Overseas this Summer

The Institute for Education in International Media (ieiMedia), based out of Loyola University in Maryland, is offering “eight international learning adventures” this summer.

Study in Barcelona this summer

barcelonaDr. Sandy Nichols is leading a study abroad trip this summer to Barcelona, Spain. The course is called Communication and Global Competence in Barcelona and is for three credits. MCCS Fall Kickoff Open House–Wednesday, Sept. 18 from 4-6

The MCCS department is hosting a Fall Kickoff Open House on September 18 from 4-6 p.m. in the Chesapeake Rooms of the University Union. Come mingle with classmates, chat with faculty, and maybe even win fabulous raffle prizes!

Sportswriting workshop

 

The University of Maryland Philip Merrill College of Journalism is sponsoring an Internet Sportswriting workshop on Saturday, March 9.  Dan Steinberg from the Washington Post is a featured speaker. Towson University J/NM grad profiled on Fox 45

You may be following TU alum Josh Flynn on Instagram and not even know it. In fact, chances are it’s his dog you’ll recognize. Josh recently won “Best Instagrammer” at the 2012 “Mobbies” (a Baltimore Sun award for outstanding blogs). Check out some of Josh’s photos and learn more about his inspiration through this story that aired on Fox 45.
